What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When you visit our Sites, you can browse without submitting any personal information about yourself. We may, however, receive and store some non-personally identifiable information about you, as described below. In order to participate in certain functionalities, you may be asked to provide information that can identify you, including, for example, your name or email address. An example of this would be signing up for a Discovery Call or sending us an email.

Any information we collect is for the sole purpose of helping understand and serve your needs, responding to you regarding the reason you contacted us, serving you through one of our programs, or to communicate to you regarding your area of interest. We may also use this information to evaluate and manage our services.

We live in Canada and are governed by Canadian Law. Our Sites and our Services are intended for access and use within Canada and complies with applicable Canadian privacy laws. We appreciate that citizens, domiciles, or residents of the European Union and other countries may be interested in our content. We have made an attempt to comply with GDPR however we can not be held responsible if we are not fully compliant. By accessing our Sites and web-based services, you have agreed to not hold us responsible for any privacy laws related to other countries or the European Union.

Opt-in Email Updates
We have set up an opt-in system, so those interested must enter their information to receive email updates. On every email sent, there is also an opt-out link so they can be removed from the list.

On-Line Registration
Our registration process is done through our HIPAA compliant portals. Any information you include in your registration form will be under this Privacy Policy. For programs hosted by an organization, any registration that is done through them will be under their Privacy Policy. We identify these hosts during the registration process.

The details you provide when booking a session are held inside our HIPAA compliant portal which you can view if you become a client. These professional booking and customer relationship management (CRM) services have additional security policies & practices in place through the base company who provides our portals.

We do not have comments enabled on our site.

Security
Our website do not use a database, nor do we collect information onto our own server from our public pages. There is nothing here to hack. Our portals are managed by a third party and have security measures in place that are on the same level as banks.

Payments are made through our host organizations, bank e-transfers, Stripe, PayPal, or in-person by cash.

HTTPS
Our websites are hosted on a secure server (HTTPS) which encrypts data flow between the client browser and the web server. We use a professional Canadian web hosting company. Emails are stored on a Canadian server. Portal information is stored on a US server.

Media
While we seek to link only to sites that share our high standards and respect for privacy and security, we are not responsible for the privacy practices used by other sites. More information about linked sites can be found on our Legal Disclaimer.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Vimeo
Our website uses features provided by the Vimeo video portal. Private session videos are secured inside Vimeo and links can not be viewed outside our portals. This service is provided by Vimeo Inc., 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA.

If you visit one of our pages featuring a Vimeo plugin, a connection to the Vimeo servers is established. Here the Vimeo server is informed about which of our pages you have visited. In addition, Vimeo will receive your IP address. This also applies if you are not logged in to Vimeo when you visit our plugin or do not have a Vimeo account. The information is transmitted to a Vimeo server in the US, where it is stored.

If you are logged in to your Vimeo account, Vimeo allows you to associate your browsing behavior directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your Vimeo account.

Google Web Fonts
For uniform representation of fonts, our Sites uses web fonts provided by Google. When you open a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly.

For this purpose your browser has to establish a direct connection to Google servers. Google thus becomes aware that our web page was accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Web fonts is done in the interest of a uniform and attractive presentation of our website. This constitutes a justified interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO.

Contact & Booking Forms
We use our secure HIPPA compliant portals to store user input data sent through the contact forms on this website, along with meta information about the submissions, including the time stamp, the origin IP address, and the user agent (browser).

We do not collect any unnecessary data. If we need more than your name, email, session details, and acceptance of the liability waiver it will usually come through a follow-up method.

Visitors are given clear direction to give their consent on each form.

Cookies
Cookies may apply when you visit. We have a cookie notice informing you of this when you enter our site.

Analytics
We have set up Google Analytics on our public pages. This tool helps us measure how users interact with website content. As a user navigates between web pages, Google Analytics provides JavaScript tags (libraries) to record information about the page a user has seen, for example the URL of the page. The Google Analytics JavaScript libraries use HTTP Cookies to “remember” what a user has done on previous pages / interactions with the website.

Who we share your data with

registration and payment for sessions through our host organization;

communication between facilitators or authorized coaches regarding your needs and services;

sharing contact information as requested by you, for example connecting you to a service provider in your area;

connecting you to a service that you have requested but we do not directly offer, for example connecting you with a pastor, more specialized coach, financial advisor, lawyer, or marriage counselor.

These third-parties are only granted access to your personal information as necessary and they are contractually restricted in the ways they may use your information. The providers may also use cookies (as defined within this Policy), or other automatic collection technology on behalf of their services.

Moreover, in the event that a division, or part or all of Steffan Consulting Inc, is purchased, sold or otherwise transferred, or is in the process of a potential transaction, customer information will likely be shared for evaluation purposes and included among the transferred business assets.

Under our legislation, we are required to report and provide contact information if we discover someone is being harmed or is harming others. More information about our legal obligations can be found on our Legal Disclaimer. We may also be required to disclose specific information to comply with the law, a subpoena, or other litigation process. Communicating with appropriate personnel about possible fraudulent activity or dangerous situations may be required if we need to protect the interests or safety of our visitors, clients, employees, volunteers, host organizations, and support network.

When we run one of our sessions at a host organization, they will receive your personal information first-hand through their registration process. Host organizations who do not have an on-line system will be given an opportunity in the session to collect your information manually.

How long we retain your data
We don't set a particular time limit on storing contact form information.

What rights you have over your data
You can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
